High school students already involved with athletics, as well as entering high school freshmen who plan to join an athletic team are welcome to attend.  Lunch will be provided to all attendees.  Registration is required, and space is limited.  You can register online or by calling 863-687-1400.

The Ledger is starting a brand new site, called Polk Preps, that will serve as a one-stop source for stats, standings and other Polk County High School sports information. The site isn’t live yet, but you can check out a preview of it here. Certainly High School football is huge in Polk County, but this site will cover other sports as well and should really provide a great resource to not only fans, but coaches and even schools.

The site will launch on Thursday, August 26 with a launch party at The Ledger’s offices from 5pm-7pm. For more information about the launch party, call 863-802-7401.
