9th Annual Aching Quad
Date:
Friday, September 12 – Saturday, September 13
Venue:  Lake Hollingsworth/Lake Morton/Lake Hunter, Lakeland
– The Lakeland Runners Club presents the 9th Annual Aching Quad, a four-race event in Lakeland that offers two 5K races at Lake Hollingsworth on Friday and Saturday nights, a one-mile sprint around Lake Morton on Saturday morning, and two-mile run around Lake Hunter later Saturday morning.  Participants may choose to compete in single races or attempt to complete the full series of four.

WABA Fall Twin Classic
Date:
Friday, September 12 – Sunday, September 14
Venue:  Lake Myrtle Sports Park, Auburndale
– The World Amateur Baseball Association presents their annual Fall Twin Classic, a high-school and junior college level baseball event at Lake Myrtle Sports Park in Auburndale that is expected to draw 30 showcase teams from across the state to Polk County.

Florida ISA Fall Classic
Date:
Saturday, September 13 – Sunday, September 14
Venue:   Bartow Softball Complex
– Florida Independent Sports Association (Florida ISA) presents the Fall Classic, a youth softball qualifying tournament that is expected to bring more than 500 participants and spectators to Polk County.

Florida ISA Speedway Classic
Date:
Saturday, September 13 – Sunday, September 14
Venue:  Loyce Harpe Park, Mulberry
– Florida Independent Sports Association (Florida ISA) presents the Adult Regional, an adult softball qualifying tournament that is expected to bring more than 100 participants and spectators to Polk County.

FYSA Region 3 Premier League
Date:
Saturday, September 13 – Sunday, September 14
Venue:  Lake Myrtle Sports Park, Auburndale
– Top teams from the southeast will visit Lake Myrtle Sports Park for a weekend of elite Region 3 Premier League soccer.
– The teams will include both Boys and Girls teams aged U14-U18

Ledger Junior Super Series
Date:
Saturday, September 13 – Monday, September 15
Venue:  Beerman Family Tennis Center, Lakeland
– The City of Lakeland Parks and Recreation presents the Ledger Junior Super Series, a USTA Florida Sponsored and Sectioned Jr. Tournament, with more than 150 state and international players competing.
