Get ready for plenty of family-friendly fun in Polk County this July 4th! Join us in the celebration and remembrance of those who risked their lives for our freedom.

Beginning Thursday, July 3 and lasting through the night of Friday, July 4, you will find Independence Day celebrations for everyone going on throughout the county. However you choose to celebrate, we wish you a safe holiday!

THURSDAY, JULY 3, 2014

Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team Show
Lake Silver – Winter Haven; 7:00 p.m..
The Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team (reestablished in 2012 by former theme park employees) will perform a special show for the Independence Day, and fireworks will follow the performance.

Red, White & Kaboom
Lake Mirror – Lakeland; 6:00 p.m.
Celebrate the 4th of July downtown at Lakeland’s annual “Red, White & Kaboom” event. Enjoy live music from D.A. Smith & The SOUL INJECTORS, and be sure to catch the breathtaking fireworks display at 9:00 p.m.

Rock N’ Freedom Fest 
MLK Jr. Park – Winter Haven; 6:30 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Celebrate Independence Day at this family-friendly event! Starting at 7:00 p.m., bring the whole family and enjoy music, children’s activities and food. Then, stay for the main attraction, the fireworks show, which will be sure to amaze the entire crowd.

FRIDAY, JULY 4, 2014

4th of July Celebration of the Shores of Lake Wailes
Shores of Lake Wailes – Lake Wales; 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Don’t miss the annual firework celebration on the shores of Lake Wailes in the city of Lake Wales featuring vendors, bounce houses, pony rides and fireworks.

Bartow 4th of July Celebration
Mosaic Park & Bartow Civic Center – Bartow; 3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Stop by the Bartow Civic Center and Mosiac Park, located next to the Civic Center, on the fourth for live entertainment and fireworks along with a carnival, children’s activities and food throughout the day.
2:30-3:30 p.m. Free patriotic concert at the Bartow Civic Center.
4:00-9:30 p.m. Inflatable bounce houses, Choo Choo Charlie kids train rides, food vendors & live entertainment at Mosaic Park.
9:30 p.m. Fireworks

Fireworks at Auburndale City Beach
City Beach – Auburndale
Join the City of Auburndale in the Independence Day fun at Auburndale City Beach. There will be fun family activities, food, entertainment and a large firework display.

Fourth of July Bike Parade
Shores of Lake Wailes ­­– Lake Wales
Lake Wales Arts Council invites children with bikes, trikes, scooters, wagons, strollers, and parents and grandparents to participate in the 4th of July Bike Parade.

Flying Tigers July 4th Patriotic Celebration 
Joker Marchant Stadium – Lakeland; Game begins at 5:00 p.m., Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.
Celebrate Independence Day with the Flying Tigers. Players will be wearing special patriotic red, white and blue jerseys. There will be live music following the game and an amazing dueling fireworks spectacular at dark. The first pitch on July 4th is scheduled for 5:00 p.m., and the gates will open at 4:00 p.m.

July 4th Fest at the Eagle Ridge Mall
Eagle Ridge Mall – Lake Wales; 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Beat the heat this Independence Day, and join the fun at the Eagle Ridge Mall. There will be live music, family entertainment, prizes and giveaways.

Lake Alfred’s Celebrate Fourth of July
Lion’s Park – Lake Alfred; 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. 
The City of Lake Alfred invites everyone to come celebrate the 4th of July from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Lion’s Park.  There will be a Little Miss & Mr. Lake Alfred Pageant, entertainment, Bass fishing tournament, car show, food vendors and more.

Red, Brick & Boom
LEGOLAND Florida – Winter Haven;
July 4-6, 2014

Celebrate the 4th of July with a bang at LEGOLAND Florida’s Independence Day event. With special 3D glasses that turn ordinary fireworks into millions of exploding bricks, this July 4th celebration is sure to dazzle and delight.

Thunder on the Ridge
Lake Eva Park – Haines City; 3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Come out, and enjoy the largest fireworks display in Polk County. There will be plenty of arts, crafts, food vendors and children’s activities on site. At 7:30 p.m., national recording artist Michael Ray will perform live in concert, and a fireworks display will follow. Haines City will also celebrate the city’s Centennial with exciting activities, including a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® official attempt.
