Lakeland Flying Tigers
Now – September 1
Venue: Joker Marchant Stadium
-The Lakeland Flying Tigers have returned to Lakeland for the 2012 season.
-This week’s home games are:
July 8 vs. Cubs, 1:00 PM; Sunday Family Fun Day
July 9 vs. Cubs, 6:30 PM; Dollar Days

Southern Trophy Hunter’s Big Buck Expo
Dates: Friday, July 13 – Sunday, July 15
The Lakeland Center
-The Southern Trophy Hunter Big Buck Expo is a B2C sporting trade show that focuses primarily on hunting and outdoor sports.
-This is the largest Hunting Expo in all of Florida and one of the largest in the southeast.
-R.J. and Jay Paul from History Channel’s Swamp People will be there.

Pro-Am Shooting Tournament
Dates: Friday, July 13 – Sunday, July 15
Universal Shooting AcademyFrostproof
This is known to be the most action-filled and spectator-friendly event.
-The obstacle courses are designed to test the estimated 250 shooters’ ability to think and perform under pressure while engaging over 500 falling plates in the tournament.

Mid-Florida Table Tennis Tour July Classic
Dates: Friday, July 13 – Sunday, July 15
Venue: Lakeland
This is a USATT, USSTTA and LTTA sanctioned tournament.
-Players from across Florida and the southwest U.S. travel to participate in this tournament along with several international players.
-This is classified as a two-star tournament by the USATT.

Adult State Championship
Saturday, July 14 – Sunday, July 15
Auburndale Softball Complex, Diamond PlexWinter Haven
-This ISA Adult State Championship will be hosted by both The Auburndale Softball Complex and the Diamond Plex in Winter Haven.

Beverly J. Wright Bowling Tournament
Saturday, July 14 – Sunday, July 15
Cypress Lanes Family Fun Center – Winter Haven
-Founded in honor of a dear friend and long-time active bowler in the community, the Beverly J. Wright Bowling Tournament is held annually at Cypress Lanes to donate thousands of dollars to Susan G. Komen Bowl for the Cure to fund breast cancer research.
-Over 500 bowlers are expected to participate in this tournament.

Florida State Water Ski Championship
Saturday, July 14 – Sunday, July 15
Venue: Ski Paradise Inc. – Mulberry
-This three-event Water Ski tournament will consist of skiers from seven states competing in slalom, tricks and jump.
-This is a qualifying event for the National Water Ski Championships, and  ages from 5 years old to 85 years old will be competing.

Youth World Warm Up
Saturday, July 14 – Sunday, July 15
Bartow Park
This Florida ISA event is expected to bring in over 600 softball players to the Bartow Softball Complex.
