Lakeland Flying Tigers
Now – September 1
Venue: Joker Marchant Stadium
-The Lakeland Flying Tigers have returned to Lakeland for the 2012 season.
-This week’s home games are:
June 25 vs. Jupiter Hammerheads, 6:30 PM; Dollar Day
June 26 vs. Jupiter Hammerheads, 10:30 AM; Silver Sluggers, 2-for-1 Ticket Offer, Baseball Wingo
June 27 vs. Jupiter Hammerheads, 6:30 PM; All-You-Can-Eat , Pack the Park Night

Polk County All Sports Awards
Date: Tuesday, June 26
The Lakeland Center
-The 12th annual Polk County All Sports Awards will be held at the Lakeland Center’s Sikes Hall.
-The event recognizes Polk County athletes, coaches and administrators, both past and present, in an evening dedicated to showcasing the year’s top sports performers and teams.
-The evening will also feature the induction of 5 new members of the Polk County Sports Hall of Fame.

National Invitational
Dates: Friday, June 29 – Sunday, July 1
Venue: Polk State College, All Saints Academy, Vangaurd High
-This Florida Five Star basketball tournament is a pool play event for high school and middle school teams.
-The event is expected to bring in 30 basketball teams, ages ranging from 12 to 18 years.

Firecracker Baseball Tournament
Saturday, June 30 – Sunday, July 1
Venue: Lake Myrtle Park, Chain of Lakes Complex, Lake Region High School
-Lake Region Baseball brings this two-day tournament for JV and Varsity baseball teams to Lake Myrtle Sports Park in Auburndale, the Chain of Lakes Complex and the Lake Region High baseball stadium in Winter Haven.

Fluid Ski & Sports Junior and Under 21 Team Trials
Dates: Saturday, June 30 – Sunday, July 1
Venue: Fluid Ski & Sports – Polk City
-Kids from around the country will be in Polk City competing to make the United States Ski Team.
-In addition to the United States Ski Team trials, other skiers will be competing in a regular water ski tournament.

Tampa Bay Invitational
Saturday, June 30 – Sunday, July 1
Venue: Gandy Pool – Lakeland
-This is a Lakeland Swimming LLC invitation only swim meet that is divided into age groups.
-Participants from across the state are expected to compete.

Youth B State Championship
Saturday, June 30 – Sunday, June 1
Bartow Park
This is an ISA Youth State Championship expected to bring in over 1,630 softball players to the Bartow “555” Complex.
