Lakeland Flying Tigers

-The Lakeland Flying Tigers have returned to Lakeland for the 2012 season.
-This week’s home games are:
June 18 vs. Brevard Manatees, 6:30 PM; Dollar Day
June 19 vs. Brevard Manatees, 10:30 AM; Silver Sluggers, 2-for-1 Ticket Offer, Parks & Rec Day
June 20 vs. Brevard Manatees, 6:30 PM; All-You-Can-Eat
June 23 vs. Tampa Yankees, 5:00 PM; Firework Extravaganza, Ledger Media Group Customer Appreciation, Sunset Celebration on the Berm, Bat for the Cure, Kids Club Day
June24 vs. Jupiter Hammerheads, 1:00 PM; Sunday Family Fun Day
Boys Team Classic
Dates: Friday, June 22 – Sunday, June 24
Venue: Polk State College, All Saints Academy, Vangaurd High
-This Florida Five Star basketball tournament is a Round Robin Event for high school and middle school teams.
8 and Under State Championship
Dates: Saturday, June 23 – Sunday, 24
Venue: Bartow Park
-This Florida ISA championship is expected to bring in over 1,500 softball players to the “Bartow” 555 Complex.
Florida’s Sunshine State Games: Polk County Festival
Dates: Saturday, June 23 – Sunday, June 24
Venue: The Lakeland Center & Polk State College-Winter Haven
-This weekend’s sports include Fencing, Judo, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Weightlifting & Wrestling.
-The Polk County Festival will host over 2,500 athletes for the 8 events that span two weekends.
Youth A State Championship
Dates: Saturday, June 23 – Sunday, June 24
Venue: Bartow Park, Jan Phyl Park
-This Florida ISA championship will take place at the Bartow “555” Complex and Jan Phyl Park in Winter Haven June 23-24.
