Lakeland Flying Tigers

-The Lakeland Flying Tigers have returned to Lakeland for the 2012 season.
-This week’s home games are:
June 5 vs. Charlotte Stone Crabs, 6:30 PM ; Baseball Wingo, Silver Sluggers, 2-for-1 Ticket Offer
June 6 vs. Charlotte Stone Crabs, 6:30 PM; All-You-Can-Eat
June 7 vs. Charlotte Stone Crabs, 6:30 PM; $1 Sodas & 2-for-1 Beers, Backyard BBQ Festival

Camp ROC
Dates:
Friday, June 8 – Saturday, 9
Venue:
Lakeland
-Powerful speakers and athletes share insight encouraging children to stay in school.
-The Third Annual Camp ROC Dinner Banquet will be held Friday, while the camp will take place Saturday and will feature Charlie Peprah and Desmond Clark.

Girls’ Team Classic
Dates:
Friday, June 8 – Sunday, June 10
Venues: Winter Haven gyms including Polk State College, All Saints Academy and Vanguard High
-Florida Five Star presents this round robin basketball event for high school and middle school teams at gyms across Winter Haven.

Dirty Foot Adventure Run
Date: Saturday, June 9
Venue: Fort Meade
-This is a 5-mile adventure/obstacle run for ages 12 and older that features 30 obstacles and includes
15 water crossings, 8-10 mud areas, a water tunnel and 182 water sprinklers.

Florida State Soccer Association State Cup Finals
Dates:
Saturday, June 9 – Sunday, June 10
Venue:
Simmers-Young Park – Winter Haven
-
More than 30 men’s and women’s adult teams (age 30 and over) are expected to participate.
-All teams will play a minimum of two games.

Lake Region Baseball-Memorial Invitational
Dates:
Saturday, June 9 – Sunday, June 10
Venue:
Winter Haven – Lake Region High School, Chain of Lakes Complex
-
Junior and varsity high school baseball teams will play in this Invitational at both Lake Region High and at the Chain of Lakes Complex in Winter Haven.

NSA Summer Slam
Dates:
Saturday, June 9 – Sunday, June 10
Venue:
Auburndale Softball Complex
-
This adult tournament is expected to bring in over 20 teams to the Auburndale area for a weekend of competitive softball.

Olympic Development Training
Dates:
Saturday, June 9 – Sunday, June 10
Venue: Lake Myrtle Sports Park – Auburndale
-The Florida Youth Soccer Association will be holding an Olympic Development Training Program at the Lake Myrtle Sports Park in Auburndale.
-The main goal of FYSA hosting ODP trials is to identify players for our men’s and women’s Youth National Teams.

This Florida ISA softball Tournament of Champions will be bring over 600 of the best softball players to Bartow.
