Are You Ready for Some Football?

Even though football season is still a couple months away, it is time to start getting in that state of mind. Webber International University, Polk County’s only college football program, certainly is as they have released their 2010 football schedule. Webber, who is a part of the Sun Conference in NAIA, will play an 11-game schedule for the first time in four years. The schedule includes five home games at Legion Field in Lake Wales and also back-to-back trips to Virginia to end the season. Their season kicks off at home on August 28 against the University of Virginia-Wise. For more information on Webber Football, check out their official website. September 4 – vs. Georgetown College 1:30 pm
September 11 – at Lamar University 6 pm
September 18 – at Jacksonville University TBA
October 2 – vs. Azusa Pacific university 1 pm
October 9 – vs. North Carolina Pembroke 1 pm
October 16 – at Edward Waters College TBA
October 23 – vs. Huntingdon College 1 pm
October 30 – at Shorter College 1:30 pm
November 6 – at Southern Virginia University 3 pm
November 13 – at Newport News Apprentice 1 pm
