Flying Tigers Wing Ding & Thirsty Thursday – April 15

The Lakeland Flying Tigers will be hosting their inaugural Wing Ding presented by Budweiser on Thursday, April 15 at Joker Marchant Stadium prior to the Flying Tigers game vs. the Clearwater Threshers. The Wing Ding begins at 6:00 pm and first pitch is scheduled for 7:00 pm. There will be free samples of Bud Light Wheat and Bud Light Lime from 6:00-7:00 pm as well as live music by Zebron and James. $1 beer and soda will be available beginning at 6:00 pm until the end of the 7th inning.
Area Polk County restaurants will be competing for the Flying Tigers Wing Ding Champion. Competitors will be judged in three categories; best overall wing, best sauce and the people’s choice award which will be judged by the fans. Winners will receive trophies and prizes from the Flying Tigers. Restaurants scheduled to participate include Natalie’s Sports Bar & Grill, Hurricane Grill & Wings, MoJo’s, Smokey Bones, Hot Shots Sports Bar & Grill, Kazbor’s Grille and Sonny’s.
Tickets to the Wing Ding are $10 and include 10 wing tickets, free beer samples, live music and a ticket to the Flying Tigers game. Additional wing tickets are available for $.50 each. Parking is free.
Tickets for Thursday’s game and all home games are available by calling the Flying Tigers at (863) 686-8075. Box seats are $6 and reserved seats are $5 and seniors 55 and over and children 14 and under receive a $1.00 discount. Saturday tickets are an additional $1. Parking is free.
