ISA Winter Nationals Highlight This Week in Sports

The ISA Winter Nationals will kick off four consecutive weekends of softball action in Polk County this weekend. The event will definitely live up to its name with chilly temperatures forecasted throughout this weekend. Here is a rundown of the sporting events that will be coming to Polk County this weekend:
Independent Softball Association (ISA) Winter Nationals
Dates: 1/9 – 1/10
Venue:Bartow 555 Softball Complex
- The ISA Winter Nationals event will bring softball teams from across the United States to compete in 4 consecutive weekends at Diamond Plex softball complex, Auburndale softball complex and 555 softball complex in Bartow, hosting 50 teams per week. Competing in the first week of this tournament will be girls fast pitch teams U16 – U18.

Lakeland Winter Sectional Tennis Tournament
Dates: 1/9 – 1/11
Venue:Beermen Tennis facility – 1000 E Edgewood Dr. Lakeland, FL 33803
- City of Lakeland Parks and Recreation will be hosting this sectional tennis tournament that will showcase over 100 top level tennis athletes.
