Spring Training Workout Dates

You already have the Detroit Tigers 2009 Spring Trainining schedule, but here are some more important dates if you want to make your way to Lakeland to catch the Tigers this spring. From a Tigers release this morning:
The first pitchers and catchers workout for the Tigers in Lakeland, FL is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2009. The club’s first full squad workout in Lakeland, FL is scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, 2009.
Countdown to 2009 Spring Training: 60 Days. That means you have 59 days to figure out an excuse to give your wife/girlfriend/significant other as to why you won’t be able to spend Valentines Day with them because you will be watching the first day of practice.

You can bet your hard-earned dollar I’ll be there on Feb. 14th…do you think it would be a nice Valentine’s present for my main girl if I take her with me and then enjoy a picnic on the lawn seating? Maybe some chicken?
